Unlike most other Designer Outlets such as Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, York's outlet is completely indoor[1] with parking surrounding the centre. Many of the shops are actually either Factory Shops, Clearance Shops or Designer Shops.
For its location, the designer outlet is well connected. First York have some frequent bus services (every 10 minutes or better) to the centre of York in the form of the York Park and Ride which is a direct service from the designer outlet to York city centre, to cater for people wishing to visit the city centre. Additionally there are Arriva Yorkshire services to Selby in one direction and into York city centre in the other.
